Biography

What is SlaughterHouse?
Slaughterhouse is a well known Hip-Hop “super group”. It was formed by Joe Budden who had the idea and wanted to bring together some of the best Emcee’s and form a group. A group that was solid and a group that would tear up anything and everything. So he recruited Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5?9, who were both incredible emcee’s on their own. Finally forming with Crooked I, they made the rap group ‘SlaughterHouse‘.

Why are they called SlaughterHouse ?

They’re called SlaughterHouse cause lyrically, they can all hold their own. Together, they can do almost anything. The name was picked up from Joe Budden’s mixtape ‘Halfway House’. The track SlaughterHouse featured Joe Budden himself, Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5?9, Crooked I and Nino Bless. Although the latter was left out of the group, the members appeared on the track and it stole the show out of the whole of the Mixtape. Soon after the success of the track, the group member solidified the group by releasing their first track together, ‘OnSlaught‘.
